LCWD donates Trash Bins to OCENR for National Clean-up Month

Under Presidential Proclamation No. 244 s.1993, September was declared as the National Clean-up Month. This observance promotes to reduce wastes that affect environmental pollution, properly manage garbage and maintaining a clean environment for us to have a safe water to drink and clean air to breathe to ensure everyone’s health will not be compromised.
 
As part of LCWD’s commitment to serve the public by providing safe and reliable water and in celebration of the National Clean-up month last September, LCWD turned over labeled trash bin sets to the City Environment and Natural Resources. Through this project, LCWD with the help of OCENR, shall promote awareness in proper waste management and maintain the cleanliness of the city by emplacing these trash bin sets in various crowd favorite areas namely Sawangan Park, Kalayaan Park, and Legazpi City Boulevard.
 
Present during the turn-over were GM Jesus Enrico Moises B. Salazar, LCWD General Manager and Ms. Ma. Shanice I. Valencia, LCWD Public Relations Officer A. Representing the OCENR were Engr. Linno Benju Q. Calleja, OCENR – OIC, Ms. Dolores Malagueño, Environmental Management Specialist II, Mr. Faustino R. Rosal Jr., Executive Assistant IV, and Mr. Roger Detera, Laborer I.
