On April 21, 2023, the Legazpi City Water District (LCWD) actively participated in the regular meeting of the Liga ng mga Barangay – Legazpi City, convened at the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Legazpi Session Hall. The meeting served as a comprehensive platform for discussing key aspects of LCWD’s operations and engaging in constructive dialogue with the local barangay leaders.
The agenda encompassed crucial topics such as LCWD’s operations, the water supply system, water rates, billing procedures, meter reading and disconnection schedules, water pilferage, as well as the process and requirements for new connection and reconnection applications. In a collaborative effort, LCWD addressed the challenges it faces, providing insights into future plans to enhance service delivery.
The active participation of the Punong Barangays proved invaluable, as various issues were raised during the meeting. LCWD, in response, laid out solutions to address these concerns, fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving. This consultation meeting, dubbed as “Urulay-Ulay sa Liga ng mga Barangay,” underscored LCWD’s commitment to building and strengthening partnerships with one of its primary stakeholders—the barangays. The engagement aimed to keep local leaders informed about LCWD’s upcoming activities and projects, promoting transparency and collaboration in the pursuit of improved public service delivery. Through this dialogue, LCWD demonstrated its dedication to actively involving and engaging the community in its initiatives, ensuring a more responsive and tailored approach to meeting the water needs of the city.
