On May 6, 2023, the Legazpi City Water District (LCWD) took a proactive step towards community engagement by initiating its first-ever Barangay Caravan—a five-week program spanning Saturdays from May 6 to June 17, 2023. This initiative covers a range of barangays, including Buraguis, Puro, Kawit East, Binanuahan East, Dap-dap, Tula-Tula, Maoyod, and Rawis. The primary objective of this community-driven endeavor is to fortify the connection with areas served by LCWD, fostering collaborative partnerships with barangays through house-to-house visits.
During the Barangay Caravan, LCWD personnel engage in direct interactions with residents, aiming to comprehend consumer needs and address concerns related to water quality and pressure. Furthermore, to streamline the process and facilitate ease of access, a one-stop shop is set up in barangay covered courts. This centralized hub caters to various services, including bill inquiries, new connection and reconnection applications, service repair requests, and bills payment.
The Barangay Caravan serves as an important platform for LCWD to actively listen to community feedback, gaining valuable insights that will play a crucial role in shaping short-term and long-term plans for enhancing water service delivery.
