LCWD joins the 2022 National Women’s Month Celebration

In commemoration of Women’s Month 2022, Legazpi City Water District employees embraced the spirit of support for women’s empowerment and gender equality by wearing anything purple every Tuesday from March 1-29, 2022. This symbolic gesture aimed to signify solidarity with the cause.

To further engage the community, employees creatively crafted advocacy materials, fostering interest and encouraging discussions about the significance of the celebration.

Moreover, on March 22, 2022, the LCWD Engineering and Operations Department undertook a meaningful outreach activity, extending support to women survivors of abuse housed in a shelter. This initiative exemplified a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of women facing challenging circumstances.

For women consumers applying for new connections and reconnections during Women’s Month, exclusive discounts and freebies were made available until March 31, 2022. In addition to waived inspection fees, women consumers received complimentary items such as buckets, dippers, and soap—a thoughtful way to celebrate Women’s Month and express appreciation to the women in the community.
